We are Wanderers... Some people live their lives deliberately going from place to place. We too spend our work days doing that. But it seems that the best moments in life often happen by chance, unexpected and unplanned.

In this blog, we will try to capture the wonder we have felt when we happened upon the scenes shared here. Beauty and interest are truly where you find them. "Vagando" is the Spanish word for wandering and beautifully captures the feeling of freedom and ease we experience in our mini adventures. We hope you enjoy viewing these images as much as we have enjoyed finding them.

Farewell to Winter

Winter brings it own kind of beauty - all white and fresh.  But along with the beauty is the cold and the stark recognition that another year of summer vitality has faded to memory.  It is a time of solitude.  But gradually, almost imperceptibly, it gives way to a new beginning. Dry reminants of summer greenery, given up for dead, spring forth into new life.  It is a wonderful miracle we mark every year.  The pictures below were taken of the beautiful San Juan Mountains in early March.  The mountains remain shrouded in winter, but the valleys are shedding the ice and cold and beginning to show signs of the eagerly awaited spring.

  1. LOVE the bottom one. You can just imagine the trials the pioneers went through in the cold seasons in just that little wagon holding all of their belongings. Beautiful
