We are Wanderers... Some people live their lives deliberately going from place to place. We too spend our work days doing that. But it seems that the best moments in life often happen by chance, unexpected and unplanned.

In this blog, we will try to capture the wonder we have felt when we happened upon the scenes shared here. Beauty and interest are truly where you find them. "Vagando" is the Spanish word for wandering and beautifully captures the feeling of freedom and ease we experience in our mini adventures. We hope you enjoy viewing these images as much as we have enjoyed finding them.

Beaches & Sunsets

As beautiful as Colorado is, sometimes you need to get away.  And, what better place to find beautiful beaches and incredible sunsets than Puerto Vallarta ("PV" to the frequent visitors).  We have been going to PV for almost 15 years - not every year, but as often as we can.  We also love the Cancun side of Mexico, but PV feels like home.  The people are friendly and the sunsets -- ah, the sunsets.  The following pictures were taken on a recent trip.  It as an unusual trip for us. One, our sunsets were interrupted by hurricane Rina.  And, two, we had an unfortunate experience at the hotel which caused us to change hotels.  But the wonderful people of Mexico were as great as ever.  As usual, we made new friends among the guests from the United States. And, we spent several wonderful evenings enjoying the company of an amazing couple from Mexico.  Thank you for your incredible hospitality!

As you can see, the sunsets were amazing and the ocean is always awe inspiring....

Fall Colors Across Western Colorado

We love all of the seasons in Colorado, but fall is just a little bit special..  From the first hint of color in the high country, to the last beautiful colors on the river, we spend every weekend chasing the change of seasons.  The pictures in this blog were taken over the past month starting at the continental divide to just short of the Utah border.  From the high forests to the deserts, the colors inspire a sense of awe at the beautiful world we live in. I hope you find some of the peace we found as we stopped to enjoy each scene.
