We are Wanderers... Some people live their lives deliberately going from place to place. We too spend our work days doing that. But it seems that the best moments in life often happen by chance, unexpected and unplanned.
In this blog, we will try to capture the wonder we have felt when we happened upon the scenes shared here. Beauty and interest are truly where you find them. "Vagando" is the Spanish word for wandering and beautifully captures the feeling of freedom and ease we experience in our mini adventures. We hope you enjoy viewing these images as much as we have enjoyed finding them.

The other side of Arches
The area around Moab is absolutley incredible. On day two of our little adventure we ventured into areas outside of the national park. From Indian petroglyphs to awe inspiring natural arches, to man made cuts in the rock for train tracks, to skyscraper towers, every turn of the road and every side trail proved to be breath taking. The pictures below were taken on the road to Potash, and on the road home. As is often true in the great western mountains, the scale of a particular formation is often difficult to tell in a picture. The Corona arch shown below is large enough to fly a plane through and the Fisher Towers on the final few shots are more than 1,500 feet of vertical rock formation. You can't help but think of them as a cathedral or temple -- only larger than the Empire State Building. Truly on a scale that only God can create.

A Celebration in Arches
We celebrated a wonderful milestone recently in a place of incredible and unusual beauty. It somehow seemed appropriate to reflect on thirty-five amazing years together in such an exquisite place. Ours has never been an ordinary relationship. It has been filled with adventure, challenges, times for learning from each other, times for learning together, and times for sharing what we have learned apart. But it has always had a deep and lasting wonder about it. Each day continues to be a unique celebration, never routine, never ordinary. Thank you for showing me how to live life to its fullest. Te Adoro Amorcita.

To many more adventures...

Visiting the Past at Fort Omoa
Last November we had the opportunity to return to the delightful country of my wife's birth. We spent a day at Fortaleza de San Fernando de Omoa, an 18th century Spanish fort on the Caribbean cost, with dear friends from our youth. The fort is a wonderful place to take in history and the perfect place to relive enjoyable memories from our own past. It was a special day for us. It has taken me a while to post these special pictures, but I hope you enjoy them and gain some appreciation for the beautiful scenery and people of Honduras.
True Friends, Past and Present
After a day at Omoa, we had a delicious meal and watched the sun set at the appropriately named beach side resort - El Paraiso.
The perfect end to a perfect day...
